Saint Elisabeth Convent is located in the north of the city of Minsk, the capital of Belarus, and from here the Sisters support a nearby orphanage for children with life-limiting disabilities. Nearly 200, mostly orphans, live here and suffer from a range of difficulties including Down’s syndrome, birth traumas, congenital physical disorders and accompanying internal illnesses.
Some of these children are bedridden and their life expectancy is short. The Sisters bring some comfort knowing that the children’s pure souls will be with God eternally where there is no more sickness, grief or sorrow.

The services provided include:
- cognitive, interactive programmes: singing, music, sport, craft, carpentry workshop, ceramic workshop
- horse therapy
- day trips, including picnics and visits to parks and zoos
- spiritual and prayerful guidance
