And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast (1 Pet 5:10)

So much has been said and written about the current pandemic crisis, and will be for years to come. Our prayers and thoughts are with those who have lost dear ones or are suffering in any other way, be it financially, emotionally or through any other physical or mental health issues. We hope that you can take comfort in your family, friends and above all in our loving God.

For ChildAid, as with many charities, we are closely monitoring the impact on ourselves and the essential work of our partners, now even more vital. Whilst fundraising opportunities become harder we are blessed to have supporters like you who are steadfast and faithful. Without you the children, young people and families we serve would in many cases be unable to cope from one day to the next.

We have set aside £20,000 of emergency aid provision for our partners to use above their normal level of aid. This will provide food parcels, clothing and medicines to our hardest hit families and to new families who find themselves in desperate need. A drop in the ocean perhaps, but a lifeline for some.

Under normal circumstances I would wish you a happy summer holiday season. For now, I pray, trust and hope that you remain safe and well. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and your loved ones.
