“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him” (James 3v17)

With a UK election imminent I am drawn to the line in TS Eliot’s “Murder in the Cathedral”, “I see nothing quite conclusive in the art of temporal government”. I leave you, dear supporters, to form your own judgement on the rest of that priest’s quote!

We are assured that there is a permanent “government” which holds all authority and with the birth of the Son of Man we are saved to that eternal place, for as an earlier line in that same play states: “Destiny waits in the hand of God, not in the hands of statesmen”.

Our Christmas edition of ChildAid Matters does not look at all things Christmassy this year, but instead to our
exciting new programme to deepen the care we can deliver to the children and young people affected by trauma from any number of reasons. We hope and pray that you can join in on our DOUBLE matched funding opportunity over 24 hours from 5am on Tuesday 3rd December. During that time (and that time only) please donate at https://bit.ly/3330gnh where your donation can be matched - twice!

We have for what I believe is well over 12 years, maintained our Christmas Card prices at £3 per pack (and we still have discounted first class stamps available) - we hope that you like our designs. And don’t forget our Alternative Christmas Gifts for a special present that keeps on giving.

We wish you a peaceful, joyful and above all a blessed Christmas.
