“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe” (1 Tim 4:12)

Teenagers the world over often get a bad press, but it is a delight for ChildAid to be able to work with and for so many who are and will be doing so much good.

The Y-Peer programme, introduced into Esther House and two other children’s centres in rural Moldova, has exemplified how positive young people can be amongst themselves and to the wider community. The reports you will read in this edition of ChildAid Matters are a true encouragement to us all.

A further encouragement is that thanks to your support, following our last newsletter we have been able to employ a second social worker at Family Love in Transnistria. Lisa is already working hard with families to encourage them to care for each other and for their homes - proactive support which is making a difference.

Meanwhile, with your help we will start a new project to support internally displaced refugees in Kamianske, Ukraine following a recent ChildAid visit. Furthermore, as we went to print we had the wonderful news that a group has agreed to fund and work with ChildAid to supply much needed educational equipment to a small number of desperately poor and underfunded schools in rural Moldova. Our God is an awesome God and his provision and grace is endless.

With days to lakes, forests and attractions, plus dedicated camps put on by our partners, the children and young people so generously supported by you will be enjoying a fun-filled summer. We pray that you too will find peace and joy this summer.
