You may know the old hymn “Count Your Blessings”
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
As we approach the season of Lent it is of course the perfect time to Count Our Blessings. This year, we have put together an easy way where you can indeed count your many blessings and make small offerings in favour of the vulnerable and disadvantaged for some of the everyday things we take for granted – but could be luxuries for them.

You can use our Calendar to count your blessings.
These blessings that you count over Lent can and will:
- bring light into the dark lives of children and families
- practically demonstrate that you are willing to stand up for the vulnerable, disadvantaged and abandoned
- offer a light born out of love and compassion for children in need
So, when you drop that penny or so into the pot “Count your blessings, see what God hath done!” for you and those who are near and dear to you; but, know that each time you are helping to turn on a light in the darkness and showing the vulnerable and disadvantaged of Eastern Europe that they are not forgotten.
Use you own collecting pot or contact us to be sent one of our small collection boxes and at the end of Lent count up your daily offerings and donate that amount online or send a cheque to ChildAid, PO Box 200, Bromley, BR1 1QA and mark it as “Lent Blessings”
