The Pandemic and now war has affected children as well as adults. Attending school during war can be a challenge.
Dimitrov was struggling at school and had no one to help at home. His mother, an orphan herself, never had the chance to learn how to read. Our partner Children’s Hearts, Ukraine organized lessons for him to help him with school. Dimitrov can now read, he is more confident and does well at school. His mother is forever grateful to the kind people that helped her son.

Online therapy can be challenging, but the therapists at the Little Lighthouse are determined to help children keep the skills learned, they motivate children by using familiar objects. Parents also play a crucial role in helping their children. This is the new reality in Ukraine .
The Little Lighthouse is helping refugees find a suitable home for their disabled child and also offers psychological support and therapy online. The parents work closely with the therapists to support children.
