“Hope springs eternal in the human breast:
Man never is, but always to be blest” (Alexander Pope)
Our God has made “everything beautiful in time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11) and as the early shoots of Spring emerge we can evidence this each day. Even when we go through hard times, we can have faith and belief that they will get better and that joy and peace will be ours once more. As to when that will be we leave in the hands of our Creator and Lord.
That faith and optimism in the face of adversity is seen in the account of Vanya in this edition of “ChildAid Matters”. It is also in abundance in the doctors in the only critical care neo-natal ward in Moldova. If ever you needed to have your faith in humankind restored, that is the place to go!
Likewise with the rehabilitation therapists and with the school teachers in a poor rural village. People who, every day, encounter the hardest of times yet remain positive and proactive. Inspirational.
We hope that as you read through the accounts in “ChildAid Matters” you too will be inspired. Inspired to pray even more fervently. Inspired to pass on the link to the newsletter for others to read. Inspired to sponsor a child or to sign up for regular giving. Maybe even inspired to join the ChildAid team.
With Easter approaching and our celebrations of Christ’s ultimate gift for everyone one of us, we pray that hope will spring eternal for you and your families.
