The war in Ukraine results in essential repeated treatments being missed

As the Russian invasion in Ukraine continues, over 10 million people have been forced to run for their lives, leaving their homes and belongings.

Everyone knows about the war in Ukraine, the young people with learning difficulties at The Isle of Hope, Belarus are no exception. One of the things they learn at centre is to be compassionate, kind and to help others. So, when they heard about the situation in Ukraine, they told their teachers they want to help.

You may know the old hymn “Count Your Blessings” Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your blessings, see what God hath done! Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Another year comes to an end, and we are so blessed to be here. 2021 has been a difficult year for everyone.

We are so excited our first competition was a success. We received so many beautiful drawings that it was hard to choose the final drawings. Our Trustees helped with the decision, and now we have a winner from each category.

The biggest fundraising event is fast approaching, and we are partnering with Global Giving to raise funds for vulnerable families. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that takes place 30 November 2021 this year.

We are launching our Design a Christmas Card Competition and the winning designs will be transformed into e- cards on our Making a difference page in time for Christmas 2021 and winners will receive 20 printed Christmas cards featuring their own design.
