What is Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a Global Day of Generosity that will take place on November 29, 2022.
- GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world.
- GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year we are again partnering with GlobalGiving who are making $1.2million available to share amongst their worthy causes.
Rebuilding Ukraine will be a challenge for generations. Thousands of houses have already been destroyed, schools bombarded with some destroyed, hospitals and so many other buildings.
Everyone has been affected by the war and are still suffering from the consequences.
Our main focus as always remains around children, so we will focus on supporting projects around family and children, from helping with basic needs like food, clothes and medicines to education, rehabilitation centres and training programmes. We will support small scale programmes run by local organisations to rebuild and re-equip communities and rebuild lives.

From the beginning (05:00 GMT, Tuesday, 29 November 2022) of the campaign until (04:59:59 GMT time Wednesday, 30 November 2022) when you donate to Rebuilding Ukraine project, you’ll help ChildAid unlock a greater share of the $1.2 million in bonus funding from GlobalGiving during their #MoveAMillion campaign.
