“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son” (John 3:16)
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year”. Andy Williams sang about marshmallows, mistletoeing as well as “kids jingle belling” and friends meeting. My hope is that your Christmas will be a most wonderful time centred around the birth of our Lord and Saviour and surrounded by those you love and who love you.
Another year of war, heartache and suffering has gone by for Ukrainians. Another year of hardship and struggle for the children and families we serve across Moldova, Ukraine and yes, the innocent in Belarus. Yet, as I write about in this Christmas edition of “ChildAid Matters” there are still smiles, still hope and still the opportunities that together we can bring and are bringing. Food and hygiene products for orphans, unity and belonging for refugees in Moldova, exciting education opportunities, care and support for families.
All of this, as well as our ongoing programmes which truly transform lives, is all possible thanks to you through child sponsorship, other regular and one off gifts, and purchases of Christmas cards and alternative gifts. Amazing blessings which are humbling and uplifting. Thank you so much.
On that subject, there is still time to order your Christmas cards (although please accept our apologies if we run out of our discounted first class stamps) and to buy alternative gifts which directly benefit the children, young people and families.
May you know peace, love and friendship this most wonderful time of the year.
