Two Points Six Challenge – ChildAid

“Together we can do great things’’ Mother Teresa

Two Point Six Challenge

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of millions in fundraising income.

In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country came together to create a campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities. The 2.6 Challenge launched on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.

People were asked to take part in an activity of their choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support ChildAid via twopointsixchallenge.co.uk

During the campaign our supporters found creative ways to raise funds for ChildAid.

This supporter involved her grandchildren and raised money for vulnerable children in Eastern Europe. Money that will support families with food and clothes for the children.

ChildAid’s Trustee Jamie Parson, organised a Facebook Live concert,  he played piano and raised money for ChildAid. Money that will help us buy nappies , food and toys for abandoned babies.

Another supporter of ChildAid, Loulous McIntosh decided to row for 26 minutes as fast as she could.

The money she raised will provide free therapies to vulnerable children with disabilities.

Tina Moira, our Digital lady for ChildAid did a Mother and Daughter Dance Challenge for 26 minutes.

The money they raised  will provide trauma care to children victims of war and violence.

Some other supporters fundraised by  doing walking and gardening.

We are so grateful for supporting ChildAid during difficult times.

Thank you for making an impact to the lives of children less fortunate in Eastern Europe.

If you want to start a fundraiser for ChildAid you can do it via our website  Start a Fundraiser or you can also start fundraising on Facebook.

Whatever you choose to do you will be changing real lives of vulnerable children and families.
