Mission is alive. It is alive in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus through our partners who continue to serve vulnerable children and families despite hardship, uncertainty and the lasting effects of war. It is alive in acts of kindness, practical support, prayer, encouragement and the faithful sharing of God’s love.

Mission is not always measured by immediate success and can break our heart, as it did with the family included in this edition of ChildAid Matters. However, we rejoice in the news that we have just received, that this family is currently reunited. Pray that they may remain so. Sometimes we are simply called to be present, to love, and to remain faithful when situations are beyond our power to change.
