In 2017 we sent our first ever lorry load of goods to eastern Europe (traditionally we have always sourced items locally).
The ongoing separatist’s conflict in eastern Ukraine having left hospitals, schools, children’s clubs as well as thousands of homes devastated and devoid of essentials needed to cope with life. So, we secured 18 second hand hospital beds and mattresses along with a number of computers and other consumables.
While the logistics were not straightforward, everything we packed did reach their designated destinations in eastern Ukraine; we now look forward to sending more needed equipment as and when we can.
